Installed
on a dedicated copper circuit, Business
SDSL is a fast, cost-effective Internet access solution
offering much greater reliability than dial-up
or ADSL service. The dedicated circuit is specifically
ordered and installed for your service and only carries
the data signals for your Internet connection. In contrast,
ADSL service shares the line with both voice and data.
If anything goes wrong with the voice line, it can impact
ADSL service. This is not an issue with SDSL, making
it a much more reliable choice.
In the event of any service problem, Business SDSL is
repaired faster than dial-up or ADSL, but generally
not as quickly as Mini-T, T1, or T3 service. Therefore,
if your application is mission critical, we suggest
that you consider Mini-T, Fractional T1, or Full T1
service.
SDSL service is only available in certain geographic
areas. It is also a distance-sensitive service, with
availability being determined by the distance from your
location to the local telephone central office. (Mini-T,
T1 and T3 services are not distance sensitive).
